Pretty Lil Things from London: Statement Rings, French Manicure and Jewelery Box

Ahoy Cuppiecakes!

I am back all inspired to share with you the pretty little things I found while on an exploration to London City. Cheap jeweleries and makeup are so readily available from stores like Primark, Boots and even HnM!

Here are some of the treasures I found while on the voyage:

1) Mini French Manicure Set

I was at this shop called  Beauty Store at Oxford street and bought some makeup items when the cashier told me I can get one free item from the shelf and these cute mini frenchies caught my eyes.

To get a Frenh Manicure at a Salon will cost an arm and leg (RM40 and above) and they barely last longer than two weeks so I decided these will be great for those days when I feel like pampering myself.

French Manicure from Beauty UK comes in White, Pink and Top Coat

Tada! Don't nails look much healthier with pearl white tips and a flush of pink?

Steps:
1) Layer nail with Pink
2) Apply White on  white tips
3) Apply Pink throughout nails
4) Apply Top Coat

I also found this cute jeweled box from HnM

......with Lipgloss inside! It's so cute and feminine. The gloss is very sheer and pink so it looks good on top of colored tint or lippie.

Lord of the Rings:

My oversized purple butterfly ring. LOVE!

A bejeweled copper dangling earring from Forever 21

I found this cute Zebra-striped box for 5 pounds

It's a treasure chest for jeweleries. Convenient for frequent travelers to keep their favorite bling. I bought it because of it's nice ring display.

I know it's a tad late but Merry Xmas peeps!

Her's my look for a company dinner. Glitter sequined top, drop earrings, winged eyeliner and RED lips. I am wearing Runway Rouge by Stage.

]
Having the early Xmas dinner at Bubba Gump. I miss the real christmas food: Roasted Turkey, mashed sweet potatoes with marshmallow on top and eggnog! *crave* I miss decorating Christmas trees and playing game cards with friends.

I celebrated Xmas with a scented vanilla candle, Noels by Josh Groban and a good book. A very quiet Christmas indeed. How did you celebrate yours?

Recent Acquisition and other Jumble Mumble Ramble

Hello tweeties!

Isn't the weather so nice and cool this week? The only bummer is that I haven't been going to jog at all but no worries I have good company this week who's been so sweet to keep me active with lots of yakking, laughing and some retail therapy. Haha I am hereby guilty of spending :P

Above: Me and Lovely Shashoe being crazy in the car. Isn't she a beauty? She's a halfie Punjab-Malay and we've been close friends since secondary school.

What went in

Above: Breakfast home-made especially for Shashoe :P

Above: Our last lunch at Bumbu Desa at The Curve courtesy of my guest. Thanks love!

The Loots

Above: Winter Rose eyeshadow from Red Earth and Sha's Faux Lipstick from M.A.C. She's also in love with the lippy color. I am surprised that this color can look good on a wide range of skin tone: from yellowish tan to  olive tan.
Above: The next makeover is going to be Natasha's date look using the above makeup. She has been my protege since school.

Above: All our loots from SASA and Elo @ Subang Parade. Anyway Sasa is having a promo on VE mascara for RM19.90. I got it for RM28. No fair! Go get it soon if you want one.

Above: From the Saturday Market at the Curve. I think it is a great place to find inexpensive accessories below RM50. The rings are only RM10! Talking about rings.....

Above: *For future references*
Isn't this ring gorgeous yet simple? It's perfect for an engagement and the price was pretty reasonable.

Current Inspiration

Above: Angelina Jolie is my inspiration for the coming Hollywood Glam Dinner in January.

Above: I'd like to achieve her cateye look for the coming ball. I found just a perfect and inexpensive way to do so by cutting the falsies to cover just the outer part of the lashline.

Above: I don't like fake lashes because it makes my eyes so uncomfortable, but I came up with the idea of cutting this pair into two so that I can achieve Jolie's cateye. Does it work? I'll let you know how it goes in future. Stay tune for pictures.

Last but not least, a trail of photomemories for my reminiscing purposes.

*excuse my puffy eyes*

Till next post. Muacks.

Dr Syuhada's Engagement: Shimmery Lilac and Taupe Natural Bridal Look

Hello lovelies!

Sorry for the pause from the once-prolific yours truly :P. Last weekend was laced with lots of engagement and weddings! There's so much love going around and I am so happy for my friends. Congrats Cudidi and DN on their recent engagements to the men of their dreams.

Anyway, moi and Kakak (click HERE for her blog) were given the honor to beautify the already gorgeous Dr Syud on her engagement in Kedah. My sister was in charge of the coverage, blusher and shading while I was in charge of the eyes. Click HERE to check out what we used.

Thankfully the tunang orang was satisfied with our joined masterpiece and she was glowing with happiness! We enjoyed the occasion tremendously too. Shall the pics do the talking, ya?
Before the makeup. Syud has very nice skin and features
which made our job that much more enjoyable.

After the foundation and primer done
by Kakak for good coverage.
I chose Taupe and Purple for Syud's eyes.
The color was inspired by her dress.

For the purple, I used Maybelline palette in Lasting Lilac (below) and the taupe was Cleopatra from Red Earth (as used in Atie's Makeover).

Viola! The happy bakal tunang orang (fiancee-to-be)
Syud was a natural with the Camera
Me and DN who also was recently engaged. Congrats yang!

The brimming bride-to-be. Natural makeup is enough to enhance her beauty and I hope Abang Joe likes it. (pics were very mildly edited for lighting)

Hugs and Kisses

Atie's Spontaneous Makeover with Shazreeyana: Using Red Earth Cleopatra Eyeshadow and MAC Faux Lipstick

Before anything, a collage for whoever's viewing pleasure...

Above: Vain overload! HAHA. If you haven't notice, I love buying clothes, especially girl-y pieces with embroidery and floral prints. I am revamping my wardrobe (lemari pon takdak haha) with "sweet" and girl-next-door-looking pieces as that's what pleases moi <3.

Anyway today was a rather spontaneous vanity event. My housemate aka jogging partner was part of my experimentation of a shading technique and it turns out to be a full blown makeover! Either way I had so much fun making her up, thanks to the help of my beauty guru, Sista. The end result was that my muse looks so sultry and beautiful with just the right amount of make-up. Let the pictures rock your socks....

Before the makeover...
Above: Atie before the MakeOver

Above: The basics of applying eyeshadow: Light colored base on eyelid and Dark colors on crease as shown above. Don't forget to blend afterwards to avoid looking like an alien.

Above: I applied this Red Earth ( pic below) 38 Cleopatra
Illusion Lights Eyeshadow (RM34 from Sasa) as the framing color on the crease. It is a very nice and fine high-quality pigment with almost no fallout or creasing.
I'd like to send out a special thanks to my cutie patootie for these brushes from a Night Market near HUKM. They are a steal!
Above: Slathering my spanking new lippy from M.A.C called Faux (Pic below) (RM 65).

Above: I asked the M.A.C salesgirl about the #1 selling lippy at the store and she mentioned that "Faux" is selling like hotcakes nowadays. After trying it, I have to say I am sold! It is pretty shade of nude pink, almost magenta-ish color with long-lasting quality and makes a great pair with any gloss you have, especially clear 0r sparkly pink frost.

Be ready for the FULL reveal.....

Above: Ta-dah! Atie looks so sultry and gorgeous with these colors. BTW noticed the shading on her cheeks and jawline?

Above: The closeup of the eye makeup. Basically I used Revlon Colorstay eyeliner in Black (Rm28) and the VE mascara.

Above: After pic with flash.
Above: After pic without flash
After: One more for your eyecandy. Oh ya, btw Atie is happily engaged. *applause*

Above: Atie's voluptous full lips are to be envied! They wear the Faux lippy beautifully and matches her skin tone perfectly! I just have to put up this luscious kissable picture.

Above: The last camwhoring with yours truly who looks beaten up from work :P

All in all, I enjoyed myself so much when I make people feel beautiful. A simple touch can make a difference in one's confidence and it is a gift to other women if I can make them a little more glowy and excited. Oh how I love makeup!

Have a good evening peeps!

Health note:

Not much changed, maintained 2 shakes per day, skip the evening tea due to insomnia and feeling more energetic albeit the lack of physical activity. I haven't been sick (yet). Feeling a little full of spirit lately. XOXO
