Sephora Loots,Recent Beauty Items and FOTD using Naked Palette and Blue Eyeliner

Sephora Malaysia is having a deal, spend a minimum RM100 and accumulate purchase to RM500 and redeem RM75 by March 2012. I am not paid to tell people this by the way haha. I was playing dolled up with my great high school friend, Baya (Hello, if you're reading!) and it was great fun, we got all we needed and apparently I needed new shower puff, bath effervescent, cleaning oil and moisturizer. Hmmm. Anyway aren't they pretty together? 

Sephora Supreme Cleansing Oil RM49. The Cybercolor one I bought last time causes me breakout and I need to use Oil for removing mascara. Why I gave this a try? It is cost-effective for RM49 for 190 ml sure beats Shu Eumura. 

Just make sure to emulsify  with cleanser to avoid pore-clogging. So far I have no complaint about this product.

The staff told me that this Creme legere Instant Moisturizer has 4 times more moisture than Chanel Moisturizer. I am about to go somewhere really cold and dry so I shall put that statement to test. Will update after the trip. RM45

Fabaole Hair Mask works so far on my hair to make it soft. Lather it on my hair and put shower cap on (or not) for 15 minutes or sleep with it even. The next day my hair is soft and untangled but I think Sunsilk tub conditioner in Pink equally does the job. Got it free after hair treatment at Salon in SS15.

My absolute favorite hairspray. Use it for 5 months now and even on the hair do that I do on people. The spray smells nice, is lasting and not too stiff. RM 64 from Sasa

I was running away from this promoter girl who showed me her eyelashes which was super long on one side and short on the other. I told her I know about fiber mascaras so she showed me something else: Shizenz Lip Painter.

So I decided to perform an experiment

It does make my lips feel some tingling sensation and numb. After a while I do feel the swollen lip effect but it only lasted for 30 minutes.

My new favorite hair treatment is Ellips Hair Vitamin from 7E. Just pop one every week and it smells really good and more nourishing than a hair serum.

I bought this Vitress Hair Polish for Sun Protection but I would recommend Sunsilk Leave in Conditioner instead if you're looking for a good leave in. Somehow my hair won't absorb this hair polish.

Another random purchase is this Oxy Powder Lotion. Hey it works in controlling oil production especially around theT zone. I use it before makeup every morning and can visibly see the matte effect and less oil on the nose area.

I quite like the striking blue, especially with blue contacts. Btw my lenses are IGEL brand in Blue if you're wondering.

FINALLY I got my hand on THE NAKED PALETTE. Thank you Ajiemmuah for securing one for me, my sweetie. I was excited and could not wait to experiment with this awesome palette.

The palette is popular for a reason. The pigment is SUPER FINE and dense in color. Put that Urban Decay Primer Potion on and the color comes out even more. Worth every penny(RM 175)

This brow tint from Prestige (Sasa at RM37) and its color is less yellow than Heavy Rotation Brow Tint. I think if you're looking for Brow tint, get a MAC one. This tint is too thin and doesn't coat brows enough. Use after browpencil.

A special Birthday shout out to my brother in law: Happy Birthday Abang Amir! We had a wonderful celebration at Pullman Putrajaya and the memories will stay with me for a long time.

 A dear colleague got married. Doesn't she look like a doll? It was my first chinese wedding and thoroughly enjoyed the little details and personal touch, complete with a Beautiful bride, splendid banquet hall, romantic songs in the background and people in love. Congrats!

My Birthday Celebration, Sephora Loots, Sexy Smokey Eyes for a Girls' Night Out

Hi beautinistas!

Forgive me for the lack of update. I just got a laptop and I had no camera to take pictures and I have been having the joyride of my life with my career, makeup parlour,  friends and family so this blog was somewhat neglected. My bad. No worries now I am back with lotsa things to share.

My wonderful loved ones organized a wonderful and romantic birthday surprise for me. This is by far the most memorable celebration I had, so thank you thoughtful ones: you know who you are. <3

The location: Bora Asmara. Splendid ambience. 

Although the layout was Bali style, the food was Thai. We had scrumptious TomYam, butter prawn and chicken in soy sauce. Yums

After dinner, we had an entertaining karaoke session and the evening was filled with laughter until my jaw hurts. I got some Duit Raya (money) from the Burgs as they figured I'll find something I like and here's what I got: a matress protector, memory pillow, a bag and a wallet. Things that I need and will use! Not to mention I am in love with that brown bag. I've been looking for a brown bag that's big enough for work and looks casual enough for a day out. This one is perfect!

Here's a closeup. I realized that white may not be the most lasting color. This one will get a lot of abuse. I find the wristlet so handy when I have my hands full with keys and phone. 

The compartment is great for all my junk cards. Coin compartments are a must. It has two: outside and inside.

Another special birthday gift: A new PINK Lumix! It has Leica lense which will give the true color of the objects. This is especially important when I take pics of lipstick colors and pigments. It has superb white balance and I don't have to worry about my coral lipstick turning pink in photos. The Intelligent mode saves lotsa time and very minimal editing needed in Picasa.

A foot scrub (RM 59) reccomended by Tia. This scrub leaves a moisturized feel after (no need lotion!) and gets the gunk and dry kneecaps off. The smell is awesome and gotta love the attitude on packaging. On right is Sephora Smoothing Primer (RM 49). A cheaper alternative than Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. Does the job for smoothing out uneven texture on your skin. Great pair with MAC foundation.

 Got this electric blue eyeliner from Sasa (RM 69). Will spot the look soon

The Brush is of quality: not flimsy and tapered end for precise cat eye lining

During Raya I forgot my red lips so I bought these from Elianto: Top is Matte Berry and bottom is Scarlet. Price is not more than RM30 each. Sorry I didn't keep the receipt. For a reasonably priced lipstick, these two deliver long-lasting (3 hours) wear and reasonable pigment quality. Good for backup.

The sexy smokey eye WITHOUT bottom lid liner. Isn't it so unique? I usually go crazy with the eyeliner but I decided to try this look.

Limited Edition MAC All Over Colorful Brushes and Diva accessories on Sale

Greetings! Ramadhan Mubarak to y'all! I can't believe that we're halfway through the month and soon I will be back home in Kedah, baking kuih arab and cornflakes and getting the house all lip-lap for the celebration. Can't wait! Shopping for Raya clothes is very moderate this year and I am being unconventional by choosing a long dress as my Raya outfit from Alamy Eshop (click HERE it's awesome!). I chose an elegant Black Abaya because it is so comfortable, stretchy and hugs the perfect parts of a woman's body. Thanks Malla for letting me get one!

Anyway, today I thought I'd share about the NEW MAC Brushes I just got. I am really excited about them the moment I saw them colorful furs and for the price I figured it is quite a good deal. RM 250 for 5 brushes! You know how much MAC brushes cost if you buy in singletons (RM 100 and above!) so I know these are a steal.

1) Angled Brush in Teal (266SE) for brows or gel liner

2) Blush Brush in Purple (129SE) for blusher or bronzer

3) Blending Brush in Red (224SE) for eyeshadow blending

4) Crease Brush in Yellow (219SE) for eyeshadow application

5) Shading brush in Blue (227SE) for accentuating Nose bridge

For review purposes, I think almost all the brushes deliver to my expectations, with the exception of the Purple Blush Brush because the hair kept shedding so I have to be extra gentle. But besides that, the rest are awesome! My favorite has  to be Yellow Crease Brush because of its exceptional ability to pick up eyeshadow pigments. I don't know what the magic is but the hairs really help intensify the eyeshadow colors especially if you use a good primer. I am now attached to this yellow brush I can't live without it.

My second favorite would be the Teal Angled Brush because of its versatility. Can be used to fill in brows, smudge eye colors and also to apply gel eyeliner so very precisely. The small sized brushes are great for travelling. BTW the colors may fade after cleaning so I'll wash it using mild baby shampoo or brush cleaner.
